excellent book!
I have used this book successfully with many bass students. The exercises are very progressive in nature, from easy to difficult, but gradually enough that students don't get frustrated. This is my go-to book when students are ready for funk. The exercises do expect the students to be able to read music, and the rhythms become complex with 16th note subdivision.
