Go for the Rhythm
I was impressed with the mostly swing and jazz tunes in this book. For a teenager trying to impressed his folks and the costs of the lessons, this is the book. He will be a hit playing Rhapsody in Blue. Grandpa will enjoy his grandson's dexterity in Take the 'A' Train. These intermediate pieces have lots of good fingering to assist one in an easy flow and sound.
