Great series of duets!
I've used this entire series for several years with a great deal of success. I like the duets for two reasons: 1st, they are well-leveled. 2nd, they are by not one or two, but eight of the top writers at Alfred. Such diversity - I used them in my Christmas recital this year and they were a hit. I love the composers at Alfred!

Disappointed
I haven't purchased these duets. The music may be wonderful, it is certainly a great collection of composers. I'm disappointed to see that the parts are written as transposing up or down an octave rather than expanding the student's reading outside 2-3 octaves. I would rather not dumb down the reading of duets. Part of playing duets is learning to read two treble or two bass parts. I would love to see these rescored in real pitch.
