My setting of the hymn tune Kremser ("We Gather Together") consists of three treatments of the tune. The first begins with a brief introduction, followed by an ornate harmonization in four voices with the tune in the soprano voice. The second treatment employs a softer dynamic and the tune (played by the feet on 4-foot stops) is heard twice: once in the key of D, and then in the key of B-flat. A brief modulatory transition then leads to the final treatment, back in the key of D. In this section, marked "Grandioso," the phrases of the tune are interrupted by a trumpeting taken from the opening introduction. The piece concludes triumphantly with a brief coda. I have provided a full-length recording to aid the prospective buyer in the decision-making process. I encourage you to search the Sheet Music Plus or the Sheet Music Direct website for other hymn arrangements of mine, some for organ and others for piano.
