Si tratta di un canto sacro devozionale, composto per la Chiesa di Maria SS. del Carmine di Gerace (Reggio Calabria) nel giorno 16 del mese luglio del 2007, che unisce la tradizione mariana con la spiritualità carmelitana. Il testo, semplice e diretto, esprime l’amore filiale dei fedeli verso la Madonna del Carmelo, riconosciuta come madre, regina e consolatrice. Viene evocato lo scapolare carmelitano (l’abitino), segno di protezione e sostegno nella vita quotidiana. Maria è presentata come presenza costante nelle gioie e nelle sofferenze, vicina ai malati, tenera e misericordiosa, ma soprattutto come colei che conduce al suo Figlio, Gesù.
La musica, composta con intenti meditativi e solenni, accompagna il testo con melodie dolci e armonie rasserenanti, creando un’atmosfera di raccoglimento e preghiera.
