This series of musical obligatos is designed for my flute students and people just like them - YOU!
There are 4 obligatos in this set. It is in the Key of G Major, to match with hymn 92 out of the LDS hymnal. This does not imply an endorsement by the church. The first verse (letter A ) has a harmony part that rhythmically matches up with the melody. The second verse (letter B) has a simple rhythmic gesture that goes up to high E. The third verse (letter C) is lyrical and goes up to high E. The fourth verse (letter D) goes up to a high E and is similar to Letter C but better!
If you do not have an LDS hymnal, but your hymnbook has 'For the Beauty of the Earth ' in the Key of G, this should work for you.
Violinists might enjoy it too.
Even if you don't need to do a musical number, many flutists have a parent who can play the hymns. This lets you have a musical moment together.
