Fantasy tales immerse us in a universe filled with evil beings with the bodies of humanoid demons. I set "the goblins" to music, these mischievous little creatures who live in caves. The bass movement illustrates the rapid movement of these little demons. I continue with "the sylphs," winged female characters from Celtic legends. They can be compared to the Djinns, spirits of the air. The melody's accompaniment is both rhythmic and arpeggiated. Finally, "the orcs," these monsters who want to replace humans. The accents are intended to emphasize their chaotic gait. I am an avid reader of fantasy literature. These three pieces were inspired by "Arab Characters" by my friend Richard Poulin. In fact, I dedicate this imaginary work to him.

Les récits fantastiques nous plongent dans un univers remplis d’êtres maléfiques aux corps de démons humanoïdes. J’ai mis en musique « les goblins », ces petits malicieux qui vivent dans les cavernes. Le mouvement des basses illustrent le mouvement rapide de ces petits démons. Je poursuit avec « les sylphes » qui sont des personnages féminins ailées issus des légendes celtes. On peut les comparer aux Djinns qui sont des esprits de l’air. L’accompagnement de la mélodie est à la fois rythmique et arpégé. Finalement, « les orcs » ces monstres qui veulent remplacer les humains. Les accents ont pour objectifs de souligner leurs démarches chaotiques. Je suis un fervent lecteur de littérature fantastique. Ces trois pièces ont pour source d’inspiration « Les personnages arabes » de mon ami Richard Poulin. D’ailleurs, je lui dédie cet imaginaire.
