This one handed piano piece is an arrangement of a short work for handbells (also available in a version for four horns), originally written as a centenary tribute to the great American composer Aaron Copland (born 1900). The work makes a brief reference to Copland's famous 'Fanfare for the Common Man' before developing its own sense of line. Harmonies are created by sustaining melodic notes in the manner of bells.
