Bright and lively with a tuneful quality, this original march will brighten any concert program. The energetic style combines with appealing melodies and wonderfully moving woodwind lines to make up a guaranteed audience favorite!

On the Greenway was composed for the Greensboro Concert Band, Mark Norman, Director and the Greensboro Music Center, Jennifer Hance, Director, as part of the celebration of Greensboro, North Carolina's Bicentennial. It was premiered by the Greensboro Concert Band on October 18, 2008 at the Carolina Theater with the composer conducting. 'On the Greenway' was inspired by two other Bicentennial projects, the Bicentennial Greenway which forms a loop of walking, running and biking trails around the downtown area of the city, and the Bicentennial Carousel.

Excellent!
This is an excellent piece. Ed Kimbrough did such a wonderful composing this piece even though it was his first piece ever. I especially like the horn/clarinet melody section. It is extremely rare to find a combination like this but he did a wonderful job.
