Great Little Known Series!
I love the Nelson and Neal books! I have only used the Grade 3 and Grade 4 books, but I am super impressed with them. They contain really great pieces by well known composers with a lot of contemporary selections which many methods use less often. Many of these pieces were familiar to me, but others were not and I have come to like a lot of the more unfamiliar ones. There are a few I skip, but I like to use this series with adults and more dedicated students. There are little sections before each piece as well with things to look out for and review as you learn the piece. Definitely not for self-study, but as a teacher, I love this series! I don't know why it's so underused!
