Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Stephanie Daige. Classical,Concert,Wedding. 29 pages. Stephanie Daige #3214093. Published by Stephanie Daige (A0.796854).

One of Mozart’s most beautiful melodies, the second movement of his iconic Piano Concerto No. 21, K.467, re-imagined for saxophone quintet. Unfortunately,Mozart never wrote anything for saxophone, so I transcribed it for you. I wonder if he would have, if the saxophone had existed during his lifetime. Would he have liked the saxophone, or considered it gauche? The melody moves around between the different instruments as if they are having a conversation. This is a challenging and enjoyable arrangement, suitable for advanced students or professionals. The beauty and romance of this piece would make it great as wedding music.  It would also be suitable for a chamber music concert, or in a school or church. I hope you will enjoy playing this piece as much as I have enjoyed arranging it!

Saxophones get to play some Mozart!
Woohoo! I love the saxophone, but one thing that makes me sad is Mozart never wrote anything for my instrument. I think he would have liked this arrangement. You should make a recording with real saxophones. They sound way better than this cheesy MIDI recording.
