Baroque composer and writer, Johann Conrad Geisthirt was cantor at several churches where he wrote many double choir motets for his church choirs. His motet Willkomen, O süsser Bräutigam (Welcome, O Sweet Bridegroom) translates well for an horn octet and includes euphonium substitute parts for horn IV and VIII. The recording is of the entire edition.
