Guitar and Trombone 2 have lead roles while Tenor Saxes play Clarinet throughout. This particular arrangement was created for Eastern Florida State College to demonstrate Count Basie's style of section writing and common voicings, as well as Duke Ellington's use of cross-section writing and creative orchestration. This arrangement is the perfect standout in any program, as well as a great tool for students to experience the writing styles of the two biggest names in big band writing.
An optional Tenor 2 part is included as a replacement for Clarinet 2.
