This medley has a theme of riding a horse through the wild West. The songs and their lyrics refer to taking a horse, riding a very long time and distance, horses in the back, horse tack, matte black hat, black boots, a Porche, valley, staying too long on a porch, not being told “nothin’”, rough neck, check the law, watch your step, reflex, swallowing your pride, hand by the hip, who you gonna call, riffing with people, being bum-rushed, rolling, strolling, bouncing, going straight to the Wild Wild West.
This novel and clever arrangement includes an instrumental / dance break and a vocal splash. Near the end of the arrangement, the melodies from both songs overlap for eight measures. This arrangement is designed for high school or college show choir, concert choir or community choir.
