This medley is about the wonderful things to experience while visiting Paris, France. “La Vie En Rose” is sung in French. The translation includes eyes, a laugh, lips, an untouched portrait, belonging to a man, being held in someone’s arms, speaking softly, seeing life in pink, words of love, entering someone’s heart, happiness, him for me, me for him, swearing love to each other, a pounding heart. The remaining songs include themes and lyrics referring to strolling down “la rue”, Paris singing with you, Paris turning a page, new modern age, a writer, painter, poet, avant garde, chic, magnifique, dreams come true, beneath the garret’s rafters, laughter, street cafés, dawn by the river, love to be in love, pleasures of life, dance through the night, city of light, glitters and glows.
This arrangement features one to several solos, a dance break and several delightful vocal features (big choral sound that enhances the audience’s emotions). This arrangement is designed for high school or college show choir, concert choir or community choir.
SSAA/Piano Score also available. Performance time is approximately 4:20.
