The songs and their lyrics refer to the face that you wear, society’s mask, all a façade, all of our fears, true self, adding a coat of paint, being what they “ain’t”, a little game, masquerade, bizarre charade, playing the saint, preachers who kill, killers who preach, teachers who lie, liars who teach, losing the last great American dynasty, what could have been, maddest woman in town, ruining everything, looking at the surface, what you see’s not what you get, master of deceit, (they) don’t ever come clean, nightmare, staying on your guard.
This bold arrangement predominantly has material from Façade, with The Last Great American Dynasty quietly sung in the middle. Then the two melodies overlap, sung by two four-part groups. This arrangement includes several vocal splashes and a dance break. This arrangement is designed for high school or college show choir, concert choir or community choir.
