March Extempore was written as a sequel to "March Euphoria". Keeping with the upbeat march theme, March Extempore explores a more traditional 2/4 march style with a piccolo counter melody in the trio section. This was in contrast to the 6/8 feel of March Euphoria.
A quick up-tempo march, this piece is quite the challenge for all players in the ensemble. Keeping everyone from the upper woodwinds to the tubas busy throughout. This piece is sure to be a band and crowd pleaser.
