This is a lively and playful piece in 2/4 time and A minor for early-intermediate level piano students. It teaches playing different articulations on both hands with good balance. The melody on the right hand contains mostly 16th notes passages. The chordal accompaniment on the left hand features clean execution of staccato and smooth legato. It reinforces A minor scale fingering in one octave, and gives students many chances to practice contraction and expansion, and how DC al Coda symbols work.
