This Baroque dance is as fun to listen to as it is to play. Set in G major with the "B" section in the parallel minor - it serves as a good teaching tool for theory. The first violins have the most difficult part. This dance may be performed by string quartet, quintet or orchestra. This is a good piece for bowing and for teaching the relative relationships dealing with modes. Try to keep it light in character.
