These intriguing settings of the tune ERHALT, UNS HERR were originally composed for the hymn "Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in Your Word," but can also be used with the hymn "Lord, Open Now My Heart to Hear" and other texts sung to that melody. The intonation features a quasi-canon at the fourth and is good for featuring the contrasting solo stops on any organ.
