Vanuit de warme en milde inleiding ontwikkelt zich een levendig thema, de begeleiding is licht gehouden om de souplesse en techniek van de solistzo goed mogelijk te doen uitkomen. In het tweede tableau, dat romantischer van karakter is, ontvouwt zich een serene en vloeiende melodie.
