The lovely poem, First Cradle, by Brian Newhouse speaks poignantly of a parent/care-giver holding their child--and reflecting on the power of that bond. Newhouse's evocative text provides the singer and audience multiple ways to find themselves, their loved ones, and their own sacred moments with friends and family embedded in those words. Ideal for any time of year, but especially captivating during the Advent season, as it evokes thoughts of the holy child of Christmas.
