The Inventions and Sinfonias, contemporaneous with the first part of the Well-tempered Clavier, even more than the latter indicate clearly that keyboard instruction in Bach’s day was at the same time instruction in composition. The musical text of the present edition follows Bach’s fair copy of 1723 and includes in the Appendix ornamented versions from manuscripts from Bach’s circle. With fingerings.

Great COPY
I am a piano teacher and would highly recommend this copy of the Bach Italian Concerto. It is urtext but has very good fingering. The copy of paper is very good, sturdy, clean, and very clear to read. The measures and notes are spaced out nicely without cluttering . The book appear just a bit wider than the average book which is good because things look better.
