The French Suite No. 2 BWV 813 has six movements: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Air, Minuet and Gigue, which, like French Suite No. 1, follows the general pattern of 4 basic movements, Allemande, Courante, Sarabande and Gigue, with any extra movements placed between the Sarabande and the Gigue. The original work was in the key of C minor, and therefore I have moved the suite up to E minor, which is a much better key for the guitar to play. - Chris Dumigan October 2025
La Suite Française n° 2 BWV 813 a six mouvements : Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Air, Menuet et Gigue, qui, comme la Suite Française n° 1, suit le schéma général de quatre mouvements de base, Allemande, Courante, Sarabande et Gigue, avec tous les mouvements supplémentaires placés entre la Sarabande et la Gigue. L'œuvre originale était en do mineur, et j'ai donc déplacé la suite en mi mineur, ce qui est une tonalité plus conviviale pour la guitare. - Chris Dumigan Octobre 2025.
