Composed by Jan Michael Joncas. Lent 3 A, Lent 4 A, OT 14 A. Choral. Tune Name: Finglaswest. Sacred. Octavo. With guitar chord names. 8 pages. GIA Publications #3439. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-3439).

UPC: 785147343905. Text by Horatius Bonar.

The beloved text is given a beautiful musical setting in standard hymn fashion: A unison verse, followed by a 4-part choral verse, ending with a unison verse featuring a soprano and/or tenor descant. The opening verse can be sung by a pair of soloists in a conversational way, the descant might prove effective with only a single voice, emphasizing the first-personsingular nature of the text. Instrument parts are optional.
