"I Come To The Garden Alone"
Yes, I really liked the modern touches ranging from slightly different tempos to the new pieces of a melody that went well with the original yet made it more interesting. I also appreciated the alternative lyrics phrase as well as the omission of some of the verses that lean toward despair and imminent death. As some church members said, we can be close to Jesus in our walks and talks when we have experienced more joy than sorrow. I also like it when there are key changes in hymns, particularly when the verses are the same; this adds variety. My church accompanist and the music director liked the accompaniment almost as much as I did. I hope to see more arrangements from Holyoke and others who give traditional hymns - and those who sing solos - a boost. BTY, I have sung as soloist and choir member since I was in junior choirs as a child.

Perfect for Funeral
I was thrilled to see this famous old song arranged as a vocal solo and is perfect for my needs. It is easy to learn for the vocal and piano.
