This contemporary, lyrical pedal piece has already brought peace and comfort to many students and teachers. I wrote "Hope" for a student who suddenly lost a family member, but it can be played by anyone who just needs a bit of encouragement in their life. Written in the key of A Major, "Hope" is an excellent entryway for students ready to tackle "mature" sounding music with easy rubato, continuous pedaling, and shifting hand positions. The left hand primarily contains harmonic 5ths allowing the student to place their focus on shaping beautiful phrasing in the right hand.
