He, without price, offered freely to all living.
To open the gift is to open your heart
and look for His face in all you meet."
The first song of Christmas didn't mention deer or snowflakes,
there were no halls, no holly bright to deck the walls.
The first song of Christmas celebrated peace on earth:
"Go seek the holy Son, the Christ, anointed one."
That song has never ended; oh, the angels still are singing:
"He is the song that the Father's love has spoken.
He is the tune meant to heal the heart that's broken.
To lift up your voice is to lift up the weak, and add to the eternal harmony.
To open the gift is to open your heart and look for His face in all you meet.".
