"Have You Seen the Ghost of John?" is especially suitable for Halloween. This easy piano arrangement of an old folk song should be fine for beginners who have already begun to read staff notation. Middle-C-method students will quickly catch on; the right hand will be playing C with finger 2 instead of the thumb, and the left thumb is on A. An exciting feature is that the left hand crosses over the right hand at two points in the piece--a trick often reserved for recital pieces! Parents will be impressed!
The arrangement also includes instructions for performing the piece as a round, and introduces the terms interlude and coda to the student.
