An arrangement of the popular Hanukkah song for three cellos.
"Hanukkah, O Hanukkah", with its joyful melody, was written by Mordkhe Rivesman (1868-1924). The English version is a loose translation from the original Yiddish lyrics. It celebrates themes of joy, festivity, and traditional customs associated with Hanukkah.
In this arrangement for cello trio, two cellos take the melody in turn, while the third adds a cheerful accompaniment. Individual parts as well as a full score are included. This arrangement is based loosely on the 1998 Chanukah, Oh Chanukah recording by Jay Levy, sung by Theodore Bikel, from To Life! Songs of Chanukah And Other Jewish Celebrations.
