This arrangement utilizes some well-known melodies as well as others that are less familiar. The first tune, Maoz Tsur, for example, is not the familiar one but one harmonized by Marcello in his "Parafrasi Sopra li Salmi" (1724). Mi Y'maleil (Who Can Retell) is next, followed by Nérot Dolkim (Burning Candles). The next tune, Nér Li (My Candle), is a gentle, traditional Hanukkah song. While the final tune, S'vivon (Dreidel), is a traditional dreidel song, it is not the usual one most often sung during the Hanukkah festival.
