Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen Piano Solo - Digital Sheet Music

By Leonard Cohen

This is an advanced arrangement (grade 7-8 level) with several sections of polyrhythm, ornaments and "jazz" fills. Special attention has been paid to the harmony of voicings for a full sounding piano performance that is sure to impress. The arrangement starts relatively simply and progressively increases in complexity both harmonically and rhythmically. Pedal indications have not been included in the sheet but pedal should be used to compliment the arrangement sympathetically to the delicate harmonies. Also fingering indications have not been included, the right hand fingering is somewhat similar in feel to a Bach Fugue of the same difficulty and should be determined by the performer to suit individual fingering style. In the left hand (and occasionally right hand) if intervals over and octave can not be achieved solidly they can be played like a grace note/arpeggiated.
