Composed by Sixteenth Century Traditional English. Arranged by Christy-Lyn Dosé. Celtic,Folk,Irish,New Age,Renaissance,Traditional. Score. 3 pages. Learning the Harp #486255. Published by Learning the Harp (A0.879844).
Greensleeves is a traditional English melody that people associate with the Renaissance. It creates a haunting atmosphere…some pieces just sound really old, and this is one of them! This arrangement is the simplest possible version with a left hand part, so you can play it even if you’ve recently started playing the harp. NOTE: This is the exact same arrangement as What Child is This.
Difficulty Level and Skills Required: Mid-Beginner: It consists of a simple melody in the right hand and slow, single-note accompaniment in the left hand. All 4 fingers are used and simple brackets are included.
Type of Harp: 20 string harp (E to G) and anything bigger. G to G 22 string harps will not reach the bottom notes.
Range: Lowest note is E, less than an octave below middle C. Highest note is G, an octave and a half above middle C.
Levers/Pedals: The piece is in the key of A minor (no levers needed). No pedal or lever changes are included.
What's Included: PDF Download of 2 pages. Fingering and bracketing is indicated.
