Going to the Mountains (“Mi Kham Beram Kooh”) is a traditional Persian folk melody rooted in Iran’s pastoral song tradition, where journeys into the mountains often evoke distance, reflection, and a sense of freedom. The tune has a simple, song-like quality, with a gently flowing melodic line that lends itself naturally to expressive phrasing on the classical guitar. This arrangement is written for solo classical guitar at approximately ABRSM / Trinity / LCM Grade 5 level. It remains mainly in first position, using familiar chord shapes and logical finger patterns throughout.
