Composed by Alexander Kastalsky. Musica Russica #OMP-KS145E. Published by Musica Russica (M6.OMP-KS145E).

Only Begotten Son, a troparion sung after the Second Antiphon at the Liturgies of St. John Chrysostom and St. Basil the Great, as well as the Armenian Liturgy of St. Gregory the Illuminator, is a Christological text that dates back to the time of the First Ecumenical Council. Originally composed in Alexandria, it was extensively disseminated throughout the Christian Churches during the reign of Emperor Justinian (r. 527565), and thus is sometimes referred to as Justinian's Hymn.

This English adaptation is based upon the original first edition in Church Slavonic, No. 67 in Kastalsky's sacred works. .
