Written for Saxophone Quartet, the piece goes through four transitions, each season of the year, starting with Autumn and ending with Summer. It is influenced by jazz but is written in classical format. The piece explores multiple rhythmic challenges, and has a lot of new and interesting ideas that haven't been written before in modern music. The final section for example give the musician a choice of notes to play along to a specific rhythm.
It is relatively hard piece to perform, so practise time is recommended due to the challenging rhythmic displacement between parts and quick tempos.
