Amanina Alwani Badaruddin, known professionally as Alwagera, is a versatile educator, film composer, and performer currently serving as a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Music, UiTM, since 2016. Holding an MSc in Music for Screen from the University of Edinburgh, she bridges the gap between academia and the commercial industry. Alwagera’s portfolio spans award-winning animation (Batik Girl), feature films (Tiga Janda Melawan Dunia), and national campaigns such as Dekad Membaca Kebangsaan. Her commercial reach includes work for Petronas (Dilema Raya 2023) and collaborations with artists like Danial Chuer, Asmidar Ahmad and Ismail Izzani. While her forte lies in R&B and Pop, she is celebrated for her fusion of Malaysian traditional forms—such as Gamelan, Asli, and Ethnic Jazz—into contemporary settings.
