Full Description:

Composed in 1880 by Luigi Denza with lyrics by Peppino Turco to celebrate the opening of the Vesuvius funicular railway, Funiculì, Funiculà has become one of the most famous and beloved Italian songs worldwide.

This professional arrangement by Marco Beretta captures the authentic, festive spirit of the original Neapolitan song while fully utilizing the rich textures and colors of a symphonic orchestra. The piece drives forward with an irresistible rhythmic momentum, building into a thrilling, grand finale that will leave your audience cheering.

Carefully articulated and balanced, the arrangement gives brilliant lyrical lines to the woodwinds and strings, supported by robust brass and an energetic, characteristic percussion section (complete with tambourine) that perfectly underlines the Italian folklore aesthetic. An elegant harp part adds a beautiful layer of traditional color and depth to the orchestral texture.
