This supernatural, esoteric, abstract, contemplative and minimal first fugue takes place after the intimate prelude in the Suite for Organ Op.92 (1905) by Max Reger, masterwork of the late Romanticism that anticipates so many trends of the Expressionism period: loss of the tonal sense, exasperating contrasts, giant spots of vibrating timbrical color. Plus, the all-pervading memories and attitudes of the baroque period (specially the Bach's lesson) give to this music an irresistible charme, emotional and intellectual.
