1st 50 Songs You Should Play on the Harp
I have purchased a few books in the First 50 Songs... as I play a few instruments. My newest endeavor is the harp and I will say that even though I have played foremost two years, I am surprised how difficult these arrangements generally are. If you are not a fairly seasoned player, this book will probably cause a lot of frustration unless you know how to simplify the arrangements to a degree.

A bit disappointed
I was so looking forward to this book after seeing the songs it included. When I started to sight read different ones I immediately felt disappointed in the choice of notes and harmonies. I am an intermediate harpist and am trying to justify this purchase, I didn't resonate to the arrangements at all. I kept going through and was hoping to be find an arrangement that sounded melodic but they were just strange. At least I have the chords so I can try to do something with them, rewrite or change a bit to sound more harmonious. I wish I could return it actually and find other music. Too bad, these songs would be great to have as a collection. I will probably not use this book at all.

Robust intermediate to advanced pieces
I bought this book as I have students who were looking for a number of these songs playable on lever harp. The title led me to believe the songs would be a beginner level, but for the most part, they are at an intermediate or advanced level. The arrangements are true to the original pieces and a pleasure to play.
