In the tradition of the blazing Spanish-flavored music of the Stan Kenton and Buddy Rich bands, "Firestalker" opens with a dramatic flair and then kicks into a bright Latin-rock groove. The main focus of the chart is on the full ensemble, but there are short written solos for alto saxophone and Trumpets, as well as a section to feature drums and/or Percussion.
