Requires adaptation
[Note: This is my second comment about this book.]Singers who are not tenors or sopranos will have to sing most of the songs an octave lower than written. Guitar notation is an octave lower than for piano, so women can sing the notes as sounded on the guitar. Men will need to sing an octave lower than that. In that case, the lowest note is often the G in the second octave below middle C (i.e., 6th string, 3rd fret), but some go down to E (6th string, open). A couple go down to D, in which a capo can be used. Alternatively, those 2 could be sung as written (for guitar), but would then be noticeably higher than the pitch at which they are usually sung.

Impractical for singers
The keys are apparently selected solely for ease of fingerpicking. The vocal notes are beyond the range of most singers. Most of the songs go to up the G above middle C (for the male voice), and even to the A. One goes down to the D almost 2 octaves below middle C. At least you can use a capo for that one.
