There are interesting rhythmic and metrical complexities as well as simple lyrical melodies and everyone gets fun things to play! Scored for SATB.

Excellent Quartet!!!!
Orem's original work for saxophone quartet is an interesting and intricately written multi-movement work. His familiarity with the saxophone and the genre are quite apparent; the piece presents contrasting characteristics easily produced by our instrument: capricious playfulness (the outer 'bookend' movements), sombre mystery, lyricism and much more. You may discover the Tchaikovsky reference in the last movement and a few more surprises... This is a fun and challenging piece for groups of all levels!
