Comienza con un pasillo lento, luego aparece un torbellino (Ritmo folclórico de los departamentos de Santander, Boyacá y Antioquia) que es interrumpido súbitamente por un pasillo fiestero (Alegre), luego entra un Bambuco en compás de 3/4, ritmo emblemático musical de Colombia. Luego sigue un pasillo lento y un breve vals, que da lugar a la entrada de una Guabina (Ritmo popular de los departamentos de Tolima y Antioquia), para finalizar con el segundo tema del Torbellino inicial. Este estilo de composición lo cultivo con especial y genial inspiración el maestro antioqueño Carlos Vieco Ortíz.
