Best Method Book Overall
I have tried all the major band method books over a 25-year teaching career, and Essential Elements is the best, especially now that they have added an excellent online component with tracks recorded by pros and the new SoundCheck, which allows students to get real-time feedback. My students like it and learn fast. Plus, the level 2 and 3 books can be worked with all they way through high school. Rhetorical question for high school band directors. Why don't most of you use method books? Too much learning in high school band is haphazard.

Muy bueno
El sistema es simple, fcil, eminentememte prctico y asequible para cualquier edad, pero es un buen sistema. Aunque lo realmente bueno es que los alumnos de otras disciplinas pueden utilizar el mismo mtodo a la vez; Para el estudio del instrumento aislado hay muchos sistemas, mejores y peores, pero el hecho de que en ste todos los ejercicios, incluso los nmeros de pgina, coincidan en todos los libros, es lo que lo hace ideal para una escuela en la que se imparten enseanzas de los distintos instrumentos de una banda de vientos. Adems, el complemento perfecto es el libro del director, que recoge en un solo libro los contenidos de todos los libros individuales.Por otra parte, el hecho de que se haya editado casi nicamente en ingls no es un impedimento para usarlo en escuelas de otras lenguas, pues los textos son cortos, fcilmente inteligibles con un mnimo conocimiento de este idioma y de ninguna manera imprescindibles para el seguimiento del sistema.Sencillamente genial.
