Regarded as the greatest Spanish composer of the 20th century, Manuel De Falla (1876-1946) had a distinctively nationalistic style. His Andalusian influences are clearly seen in his ballet El AmorBrujo, which is often praised for its originality, while at the same time preserving the beauty of the Andalusian folk themes.
The libretto was written by Gregorio Martinez Sierra, and the ballet was firstpublished in 1915. The composer issued several revisions during his lifetime, but his original work is given here. The Voice part has been paired with a Piano reduction, making it ideal for rehearsal accompaniment, private study,or recital performance.
