This arrangement presents the main thematic section of the first movement from Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, K.525, adapted for flexible string orchestra. Rather than the complete movement, the arrangement focuses on the most recognisable and musically engaging opening material, making it ideal for short performances, teaching concerts, and mixed-ability ensembles.
The scoring is designed so that beginner and advanced players can perform together. Alongside the standard string parts, the arrangement includes simplified optional open-string and first-finger “B” parts, allowing players from complete beginners through to approximately Grade 8 to participate confidently. A Violin 3 part, doubling the Viola line, is also provided for ensembles with limited viola players, and an optional piano part is included to support rehearsals or performance.
