Egmont op. 84 werd gecomponeerd in 1810 en maakt deel uit van muziek voor de gelijknamige tragedie van Goethe. Het is zeker een van de grootste ouvertures van Beethoven. Beethoven was een groot bewonderaar van Goethe en was daarom zeer vereerd over het verzoek van Goethe. Ton van Grevenbroek instrumenteerde op ons verzoek deze prachtig ouverture voor harmonie.

Egmont op. 84 was composed by in 1810 and is a set of incidental music pieces for the play of the same name by Goethe. It is certainly one of Beethoven’s greatest overtures. Beethoven was a great admirer of Goethe, and was honoured to have been asked to write the music for his play. At our request, Ton van Grevenbroek has orchestrated this wonderful overture for concert band.

Egmont opus 84 était écrit en 1810 et fait partie d’une musique pour la tragédie du même nom par Goethe. C’est certainement une des plus grandes ouvertures de Beethoven. Beethoven était un grand admirateur de Goethe, et était donc très honoré de sa demande. Ton van Grevenbroek a instrumenté, à notre demande, cette très belle ouverture pour harmonie.

Egmond op 84. Wurde 1810 komponiert und gehörte zu der Musik für die gleichnamige Tragödie von Goethe. Es ist sicher eine der größten Ouvertüre von Beethoven. Beethoven war ein großer Bewunderer Goethes und war darum sehr verehrt über das Anliegen von Goethe. Ton van Grevenbroek instrumentierte auf unser Anliegen diese wundervolle Ouvertüre für das Harmonieorchester.
