Bottesini Duo for Clarinet & Double Bass
The score uses high tesitatura tuning for the solo DB - this allows the Bass to project/match the greater volume of sound the clarinet can project. The piano part is well written and suits the character perfectly. Unfortunately the Martin edition does not carry the extended duo section sometimes found in other editions: Part II of the duo. The work is a real crowd pleaser and will test the technique of both instruments.
