Published by Dr. Tom's Charts / Telematic Studios (A0.1821770)."DtMF" is Bad Bunny's emotionally charged reggaeton ballad from his highly anticipated 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, blending both plena and dembow rhythms with raw vulnerability and lo-fi intimacy in a way that feels like a defining moment for Latin urban music. "DtMF" is an excellent choice for intermediate vocalists and small ensembles looking to explore the intersection of reggaeton, indie pop, and heartfelt storytelling. The guitar and keyboard work leans atmospheric and restrained, emphasizing texture and mood over complexity, teaching musicians how to support a vocal performance without crowding the emotional space. The rhythmic foundation is rooted in the dembow pattern, making it a fantastic study in Afro-Caribbean groove, syncopation, and how subtle percussion choices can carry enormous weight. For singers, "DtMF" is a masterclass in dynamic control and emotional nuance — the delivery demands intimacy at low volumes and the ability to swell with genuine feeling without oversinging. The song's bittersweet energy and understated cool make it a powerful set-list moment that demonstrates a band's ability to hold space, breathe together, and connect with an audience on a deeply personal level.
A NOTE ABOUT DR. TOMS CHARTS
DR. TOMS CHARTS help musicians make more music together. Inspired by the Nashville Number System and the classic Rise Up Singing, these charts emphasize song form with lyrics overlaid on top of evenly spaced chords. These musical roadmaps let you focus on what you love: vocal delivery, groove, harmonies, feel, and more! You can even experiment with different styles and meters.
In the HYBRID chart, the first chord of each line aligns with the first word or syllable on the downbeat, highlighting pickups and delayed entries. Subsequent chords may not align exactly with every word, but once the singer nails the entry, everything locks in! This format might look unfamiliar at first, but evenly spaced chords improve groove and accuracy. The harmonic rhythm guides the melody! For singers, the LYRICS ONLY chart provides all the words with rehearsal cues (intros, verses, bridges, solos).
Keep on jammin!
